3 min Reading

Body language is an integral part of nonverbal communication. Your gestures and positions tell people a lot about you. The body gestures you prefer to display, impacts your audience. How, do you talk to a person who has crossed his arms and is showing signs of dominance? You assess their body language and understand that they are hard to talk to. This is the power of nonverbal communication. It is yet the strongest way of communication.**

The body language is a person's first appearance. You cannot outmaneuver people into believing that you are a great person, just by how you talk. Your personality and body language talk more. A lot of your future depends on your body language and the way you’re presenting yourself.

The posture, gesture, and appearance.

  • From slouching to crossing arms, a lot of postures are disregarded by people. When you do not sit straight, people know that you have a sulking personality. If you clench your fist, people know that you are angry and don’t want to talk. And thusyour body posture speaks a lot.

  • If you are dropping your smile, you seem uninterested. If you are widening your chest, you seem to dominate. That's how postures work. This impacts how you unfold as a person or as a communicator. Thus, having a great posture is immensely important to be presentable. Your future depends on how you deal with people and your ambitions. And correcting your body posture can give you tremendous results in that field.

  • Your gestures seem important too. The way you move and signal someone is of utmost significance too. Handshakes, firm hugs, etc are beautiful gestures. Gestures build a sense of trust and let you share a vibe with another person. A lot of people have lost great deals when their gestures weren’t right enough. Work on how to act in front of someone.

  • Not just gestures and postures, but your clothing plays an important part too. If you are not dressed appropriately, it doesn’t send the right messages across. Thus, dress properly for the occasion and stay upright.

Conclusion

Your personality is your charm. And the right body language adds to your charm. Work on your self as you work on a canvas. Give your best strokes and put the finest colors. Your body language impacts your audience and hence your future too. Be selective on how to appear in front of others to put the impression right.
