How can you make your life positive in the times of COVID positive

Are you trying to prepare for your big presentation, that is going to be held in a couple of hours over Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams etc.? In the present Covid lockdown situation, our bedrooms , kidsrooms or living rooms have become our personal office spaces (unless you already have a seperate one) or even board rooms for some of us . It might feel that life has come to a standstill, and there is little you can do to stimulate your physical and spiritual being, but the next 90 seconds might change your perspective.

How to live up to your expectation?

In such times, we need to put ourselves together to start anything. Below are a few points that would help you be at your best in such times of crisis.

  • Pause and relax

Everything is under a crisis, emotions are piled up. You are unstable and mental health is deteriorating. Hence in these times, relaxing for a while is a must. Calm yourself down and be at peace. Relaxing is the best way to start afresh and with energy.

  • Don’t try to achieve everything.

Don’t try to achieve everything, because you can’t. It is a time of crisis and not some competition you are in. Give yourself time and bear with your mental health. Don’t push yourself too far. Do what you can do. 

  • Learn something new

This is the best time to learn something new for your professional life. Read an excellent new book, learn new skills, and work on it. This would keep your mind off the crisis and help you advance in your career. 

  • Take it slow

This is the time of a crisis, and we are not superhuman, so take it slow. Do not try to move mountains in a short time. Stay smooth on your deadlines, and don’t force yourself too much into doing something you don’t want to do. 

  • Give time to your body

Your body is your home. While now you have got a little time to pause, think of your body. Eat healthily and eat well. Don’t try to push your body and lose weight all at once. Be gentle towards your body, and eat light and healthy. 

These are the ways through which one can be the best self in times of crisis. Follow the above tips and get going. 

What now?

We should realize that when we are amidst a crisis, we should go easy on ourselves. Stay put and work. Do take care of yourself first, and you will always be okay.
